DefaultCV: a custom resume platform built for real hiring needs
I designed a resume creation and management tool from the ground up — built specifically for the internal needs of a staffing company, covering everything from branding to user experience.

My role
I was responsible for the full design of this internal resume management platform — from shaping the product’s structure and core user flows to creating its branding and UI. I defined key features based on business needs, planned the UX for creating, editing, and sharing resumes, and designed all pages, including the public CV view. The project was developed in collaboration with my mentor, who supported and guided me throughout the process.

Before the changes
Existing CV platforms didn’t align with the company’s operational requirements.
They lacked flexibility in structuring resumes, including the ability to highlight technical skills in a standardized way. In addition, none of the available tools supported semi-anonymized profiles — which were essential for presenting candidates externally within the outsourcing model.
As a result, the decision was made to build a custom internal product tailored to these needs.
The challenge
- Develop the product’s visual style and branding
- Define the platform structure and core user scenarios
- Design all interface screens and states to ensure a cohesive user experience
The solution
The platform was designed with a focus on desktop use, matching internal workflows. The goal was to create a clean, efficient interface supported by consistent branding and clear UX logic.

Branding
We developed a clean and minimal visual identity for the product. The logo, typography, and color system were chosen to reflect trust, structure, and a focus on content — aligning with the professional tone expected in the staffing and CV domain.
User Flow
To ensure a seamless user experience, I mapped out all interface states and interactions across the platform. The flow covers the full journey — from login to creating, managing, and sharing resumes — helping to align development and design teams on logic and priorities.

Interface Screens
Users can generate their personal referral link and share it via copy or a dedicated modal. The share modal includes quick options for email and social platforms, making it easy to invite others in just a few clicks.
